Preston and I found two handmade canvases at a thrift store today, we took them home and turned our evening into a pop-art creating mess! A local cafe sells a lot of this style of artwork so we thought we would give it a try too.

I knew Preston was talented at drawing before I married him, but his James Dean piece was quite impressive, especially for someone who has never really painted before. I chose warmer colors and big brush strokes for my Marilyn piece. After we were done with our artwork we placed our paintings against a wall to dry. Smitty ran around the corner and almost had a heart attack when he saw the giant heads.
It was hilarious.
